Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi Accepts the Gavel for House Speaker On the Opening of the 110th Congress Today, the Democrats take control of the Congress after 12 years. She is the first female House Speaker for America. Nancy Pelosi said today in the Capitol, “We have waited for 200 years.” “All men and women are created equal!” “I accept this gavel in the spirit of the partnership, not partisanship’. We have the obligation to work beyond partisanship, even with divisions, for our country. Thomas Jefferson said, “Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principle.” “In this House, we may be different parties, but we serve one country.” For all children, the House will come to order! She raised and touched the gavel on the table. Chinese must learn that unification is not when one party tells the rest to be silent, and despite that many are stalling the process of democracy, many still are dedicated to the sacred process of democracy within China and in the international community to raise the self-esteem in treating all citizens with equality, and not one Party which rules all, with One Country, One Party, and fragmented systems. There is but one human value, which is Equality for all.
