KMT Party Headquarters Should Not Be Knocked Down or Sold

We should try to look up to the dignity of a Chinese political party, and not remove the symbol of the KMT, the party headquarters building in Taipei. Hopefully, the China reform movement will be able to incorporate all of the Chinese factions. Can anyone tell me the reasoning for toppling the KMT building? 1 American pressure to get money to buy weapons 2 DPP wants to remove what they consider an eyesore 3 KMT chairman Ma Ying Jiu wants to cash in by selling off the KMT property 4 Communist China wants their old enemy’s symbol to be gone Is the answer all of the above, none of the above, any number, or some other reason I didn’t think of? The problem is, if the building is removed there will be complications, backlash, and instability. The complications will be: 1) America may become a hated country in Taiwan because they resent the pressure to purchase arms. 2) The DPP will hasten its own decline. 3) KMT will be weakened as they lose the dignified and symbolic building. 4) Communist China will be forced into a fast paced reform to remove all the luxury county buildings in order to match the humble small KMT building.
