Wikipedia gives precise historical information.

From Wikipedia's list of newest articles: Chinese reunification (1928), better known in Chinese history as the Northeast Flag Replacement is a historical term that refers to Zhang Xueliang's announcement in December 29, 1928 on replacing all banners of Beiyang Government in Manchuria to the flag of the Nationalist Government, thus nominally uniting China under one state.

Note: This is perceived as a unification day because the flags were all changed to one flag. Throughout Chinese history it has always been split and reunited, now the issue is reuniting between the Nationalists and the Communists, to come up with one flag that will be accepted by all. No one has forgotten about the history and the Nationalists, rejoice. The world has the capability to know what happened. I’m proud of being a Nationalist descendent and to see that the recognition of the proper history is done on the website of our modern day electronic Encyclopedia press, Wikipedia webpage. It gives an accurate reflection of the historical events on any particular day. The Nationalists were one of the world’s first to implement the up to date news system, in which new stories are continually updated and roll across the screen, this was done before China Sina, U.S. Capitol News, Wikipedia, Google, etc. Though retreating to the island of Taiwan, they had the most innovative new thinkers and media organizations to implement one of the world’s first versions of electronic media up to date news, only now it becomes available to the US high tech minded readers. For anybody interested in world timely news, geo-political news, it is of foremost importance to have the right tools, sources of information, data on hand, whether it is the Mexican election, assemblage of all electronics news, by writers for major newspapers such as New York Times, Washington Post, Australian news, BBC, Chinese News, all part of the web net to grasp the incoming data, and enable to see the world. Comments: Keep up with the good traditions. Discover the virtues that have been buried. Don’t give up the Democratic system in the Republic of China in Taiwan. Reunite and go back to China. But do make reforms!
